Game Of Thrones Season 6 Episode 7: The Broken Man

HBO will air a new episode of Game of Thrones, titled "The Broken Man," tonight. The episode takes its title from a monologue given by the character Septon Meribald in George R.R. Martin's novel A Feast for Crows, the fourth novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Fans have speculated that Ian McShane will make his Game of Thrones debut in this episode as he is expected to play a character that is a composite of Septon Meribald and the religious ascetic known as the Elder Brother.

The episode also marks the first Season 6 appearance of Bronn, played by Jerome Flynn. Bronn hasn't been seen since his trip to Dorne with Jaime Lannister in Season 5. He will join Jaime once more, this time in an attempt to retake Riverrun from Brynden "the Blackfish" Tully.

The episode's official synopsis reads, "The High Sparrow eyes another target. Jaime confronts a hero. Arya makes a plan. The North is reminded." The episode is written by Bryan Cogman and directed by Mark Mylod.

HBO released a preview of the episode, which can be seen below.

HBO also released a set of preview photos, including shots of Bronn and Jaime, Arya in Braavos, and Jon Snow and Sansa Stark travelling in the North. The photos can be viewed in the gallery at the bottom of the page.

Based on the bestselling fantasy book series by George R.R. Martin, Game of Thrones chronicles an epic struggle for power in a vast and violent kingdom.

Game of Thrones, "The Broken Man," airs Sunday, June 5 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
