Mandy Moore has a couple of tough critics despite her hit show — her parents!
The tough reviews came in after Tuesday's episode, which featured Jack (Milo Ventimiglia) pulling out a sweet and romantic gesture, prompting a tub-side renewal of his wedding vows with Rebecca (Moore). Rebecca, in a less-than-romantic response, mentioned that she'd like to take off for a five-state tour with her band.
"Great show tonight," Mom said in a text to Moore. "Although Rebecca has issues doesn't she? Hopefully she is made to look better in future episodes ... right now Jack is the super hero."
Moore's father was clearly on her mother's side as well, writing, "You are so mean ... your timing was awful." He tried to soften the blow with a confession that he "loved the episode" alongside a heart emoji.
Moore, of course, took her parents' reviews like a champ.
"Mom and Dad know how to keep it real," she told her Instagram followers. "Thanks guys?"
