Transformers: The Last Knight director Michael Bay has decided to release the film's Super Bowl LI trailer a bit early.

The decision was prompted by hackers who got into Paramount Pictures' YouTube account and revealed the trailer late last night.

Now Bay has released the trailer in glorious 4k resolution himself.

Check out the official Transformers: The Last Knight Super Bowl Trailer in 4k below.

Transformers: The Last Knight is set for release June 23, 2017.

The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).

There comes a moment in everyone's life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

In a recent on-set interview, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura explained what Transformers: The Last Knight hopes to do:

"And this movie, the two lines of mythology give you freedom to go a lot of different places later on that may or may not directly relate to another movie, but it's opening up the universe in a way that's probably the most provocative, in terms of the movie. It's opening a really large universe of what Transformers is, and where they've come from, and how we relate to them, and how they relate to themselves."
