Fans of CMT's show were shocked tonight as the show's lead character, country legend Rayna Jaymes, passed away after a horrific car accident.

The family gathered at the hospital as Rayna was wheeled into surgery. She said goodbye to her family and the initial surgery seemed like it was successful. Doctors revealed that she would need rehab, but that she'd be able to go home in a few days.
