The Vampire Diaries Star Nina Dobrev Returning for Final Episode

Vampire Diaries fans rejoice!

Series star Nina Dobrev just posted an Instagram post that confirms that see will return for the Vampire Diaries series finale!

The post is likely to send Vampire Dairies fans into uproar: Dobrev left the show at the end of season 6 in 2015, when her character, Elena was left essentially comatose by a magic spell linking her to her best friend Bonnie's life force. The doorway has been open for Dobrev to return, but executives involved with the show or The CW had been somewhat coy about confirming whether or not it was going to happen. According to Deadline, Dobrev signed on to appear, "after lenthy talks."
