The Predator Begins Production

Writer Fred Dekker has confirmed that The Predator has begun principal photography. Dekker shared an image of a state board clapper from the set of The Predator.

This confirmation follows yesterday partial cast reveal in a photo released by director Shane Black. Black also confirmed that The Predator is being filmed for an expected R rating.

Details about the plot of The Predator are scarce, but we do know that the film will take place in the American suburbs.

The Predator is the fourth movie in Predator franchise of action/science fiction/horror films. The franchise debuted with Predator in 1987. The first sequel, Predator 2, followed in 1990. It took two decades before the third film, Predators, came to theaters in 2010.

Predator was also part of two crossover film with the Alien franchise: Alien vs. Predator in 2004 and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem in 2007. The AvP series has become its own mini-franchise with tie-in comics, novels, video games, and toys.
