Princess Anne Admitted To The Hospital

Princess Anne has a royal chest infection.

The 66-year-old royal was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where she was diagnosed with a "bad chest infection" PEOPLE reports.

The Princess was taken on Wednesday after falling ill while her family was staying on the Balmoral estate in the Scottish Highlands. A palace spokesman said, "The Princess Royal is recovering from a bad chest infection. On doctors' orders she has cancelled her engagements for the coming week.

"She is resting privately at home."

The family had gathered to join the Queen and watch the traditional highland games at Braemar, William, Kate, George, and Charlotte are scheduled to join later this week.
