Review: AxFashions' The Dark Knight Rises Bane Coat

Do you think darkness is your ally? Or were you born in it? If the latter is your case, you'll have to prove by fulfilling Ra's Al Ghul's prophecy in style.

An authentic Bane coat from AxFashions recreates the outfit seen on Tom Hardy's back in The Dark Knight Rises. The brown leather trench coat is the most Bane-looking jacket you'll find unless you completely make one yourself with some impressive tailoring skills.

The jacket is lined with a faux shearling inside of its brown distressed PU leather which makes it quite heavy. It will be one thing to wear the coat on Halloween while committing to a complete Bane look but it will also keep you completely warm in wintery months. The front is lined with buttons, as seen in The Dark Knight Rises, complete with two pockets on both sides of the chest, two flap pockets at the waist and two inside pockets - great for a cell phone or picture of Harvey Dent.

One of the more memorable parts of Bane's coat was the popped fluffy collar. This replica coat includes the collar which can be worn both up and down. While the jacket may be heavy and almost a bit bulky, it still fits quite comfortably and is easy to take on or off.

Overall, the coat is a very bold look. Clocking in at $149, you'll have to really enjoy the Bane look and have some inner villainy to spring for it, but you'll have a hard time finding anything else of the type or quality at a similar or lower price.
