Netflix scored a big win with its 80s sci-fi/mystery series Stranger Things, and anticipation for Stranger Things season 2 is so high that the show rightly felt the need to give fans a first look at season 2 via a blockbuster movie-style Super Bowl trailer.

That Stranger Things season 2 trailer raised a lot of questions (like Will's strange new abilities, or the whereabouts of Eleven), and thankfully we now have some additional plot details to share, courtesy of EW. Get a breakdown of Stranger Things' new season 2 plot details, below.

What's Happening in Stranger Things Season 2?

The Duffer Bros. have described season 2 as having "different kinds of horror," which suggests it won't just be supernatural horror and monsters. With the sort of new characters and story arcs being introduced, that could make for a very interesting bing watch.

Stranger Things Season 2 consists of nine episode that will premiere on Netflix on Halloween, Oct. 31, 2017.
