Syfy Announces 'Channel Zero' To Get 3rd and 4th Seasons

One of the surprise hits in the world of genre television in 2016 was Channel Zero, Syfy's adaptation of well-known creepypasta stories. The series was planned to run two seasons, each season focusing on different stories, and before the second season has even premiered, Syfy has announced they'll be making two more series of the horror program.

Season 2 will be coming this fall, focusing on stories based around the "No-End House." Following Brian Russell's story, a young woman visits a mythic house with a group of friends, which is filled with rooms full of disturbing horrors, each one more awful than the next. The first season was called "Candle Cove," which followed a man's quest to track down the mysterious origins of a children's program from the '80s that tied into a series of kidnappings.

There's no word yet on when seasons 3 and 4 of the series will air, or what they'll be about, but considering the amount of compelling creepypasta stories out there, the show's creators have plenty of material to choose from. For those who might be unfamiliar, creepypasta is series of user-generated horror stories that are shared online, with the most famous of these stories being about the Slenderman. There are currently no plans to feature that Slenderman mythology on the series, possibly because of the controversy caused when two girls became so convinced the character was real, they stabbed one of their friends in the woods as a sacrifice to him.

"Channel Zero certainly hit a nerve with Candle Cove," said President of USA and Syfy Chris McCumber. "We look forward to creeping everyone out again this fall with No-End House– and can't wait to see what nightmares Nick has in store for the future."
