The Rock Gives Details Regarding His Role In The Rampage Movie

While the life of Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson seems like a dream, it also appears to be one of the busiest lives on the planet. The actor it constantly working, and he continues to appear in just about every movie imaginable.

This year, The Rock is set to star in Baywatch, Fate Of The Furious, Jumanji, and the third season of his HBO series Ballers. The guys is just everywhere.

Before Johnson takes his talents to the DC Extended Universe - to play the anti-hero Black Adam - he's making a pit-stop to lead a new video game adaptation.

Rampage - based on the destructive arcade game - is making the leap to the big screen with Johnson set to star. There hasn't been a lot of detail regarding the project, but more news is on the way as production is set to begin soon.

After announcing that Oscar-nominated actress Naomie Harris had nabbed a starring role in the film, Johnson finally let fans in on some details regarding his mysterious character.

The actor will be portraying a man who is heading up an anti-poaching unit in Rwanda. With that in mind, it seems like his character might be trying to protect the giant animals destroying the city - as well as stop them.

The film will contain the core three monsters, but Director Brad Peyton does have some surprises in store. "There's the three, the lizard, the ape and the wolf, so we're keeping it similar, but you'll have to stay tuned to find out where we're going with this," said Peyton.

Rampage is slated for release on April 20, 2018.
