Westworld: Cast Member Reveals Finale and Timeline Details

HBO's Westworld has been a gigantic cluster of questions in its first season.

The show has taken audiences to a whole new world where robots walk among humans, carrying out storylines and actions which would not be tolerated or possible in the regular world. However, the theme park has ben set up to look like a chess match between Anthony Hopkins' Ford character and his co-founder of Westworld Arnold.

On top of Ford's motivations and the mysteries surrounding several hosts developing consciousness, it just seems like a big question of, "What is going on?" has been lingering since Episode 1. Well, breathe easy fans sticking with the series. Westworld star Jimmi Simpson promises questions will be answered in the Season 1 finale.

"I would say I was on the edge of my seat all the way until I got the tenth script," Simpson said. "I think we all had different ideas, and then when 10 came — I think I could speak for most of the cast — the general feeling was like, 'Holy f—king s—t.' Because basically, what they've done is they've somehow tied up everything you wanted to know and then pointed this whole world of other s–t that you hadn't really thought of that now you really, really want to know, too. It's not some bulls–t cliffhanger where you're like, 'Oh f–k, what now?' It's like, 'Oh my God, thank you, and I can't wait for more.'"

Theories of other parks like Westworld existing in the show's universe have been surfacing since the show's debut, relying on the original movie's mythology which included a Medieval World and Roman World. Simpson's tease of things to come certainly sounds like one, if not both, of the additional worlds may be coming to the HBO series.

As long as there are no cliffhangers, fans will rejoice. It's been a tough year for those -- just ask Game of Thrones or Walking Dead fans.

Westworld airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
