5 Star Wars Animated Characters That Need to Come to Live Action

Hondo Ohnaka
This old pirate is one of the most selfish characters in all of Star Wars - which is why he'd work so well, representing a very different style of character from those we usually see in the movies. He's really out for himself, but there's still something so inherently lovable about him. Hondo's been on both animated series, one of only a handful (though this list is kind of full of them) of characters to do so, and he could do really well in the Han Solo movie, as a foil for Han, who maybe passes along a nice trick of the trade in the con game along the way.
Cham Syndulla
While we'd love to also see Cham's daughter and the leader of the Rebels crew Hera come to life, Cham might make a little more sense. As a revolutionary, Cham fought in the Clone Wars, then beyond, still fighting for a Free Ryloth even when the Emperor and Darth Vader themselves came a calling in the pages of Lords of the Sith. Seeing Cham cross paths with the fledgling Rebel Alliance, or in just about any story set in the "Dark Times" era would give a nice connection to the animated worlds, without overwhelming the moment the way his daughter might.
Sabine Wren
If there's one member of the Star Wars Rebels crew that could strike out on her own, and even have a very important story to tell after the events of the Original Trilogy, it's Sabine. Now, we don't know how her story with Mandalore and the Darksaber is going to play out just yet - but if she was to exert control over the Mandalorians, then the story of their society rebuilding after the Empire is one that needs to be told. Maybe it would take place partially alongside the Original Trilogy, and tell us why we didn't see any Mandos outside of Boba Fett in those events, and partially after, as the once proud warrior people rise to power once more. Getting a legion of Mandalorians, led by Sabine wielding the darksaber on the big screen? Yes please.
Cad Bane
Everyone's favorite blue-skinned bounty hunter was rumored as one of several bounty hunters that could make the transition to the big screen, back when Boba Fett was supposed to get his own movie. While that's been shelved, at least temporarily, it would be really great to see Cad Bane and some of the other bounty hunters from The Clone Wars show up if even just for a cameo in Han Solo. This smooth-talking, confident character has so much more story to tell, we just know it.
Ahsoka Tano
And that brings us back to the obvious choice, Ahsoka Tano. While we've gotten stories all across Ahsoka's life so far, there's still way more ground to cover. You could set it just after the Clone Wars, in the same general time frame as the Ahsoka novel, and see how she became an adult on her own. You could put it in the heart of the Dark Times, or even just before she meets up with the Rebels crew, and see her running early missions for the Rebellion. Or, if she is to survive all this, we could even see what Ahsoka does after the Empire is brought down, and how her leadership is used to help build up the New Republic. #AhsokaLives, so now let's make #AhsokaLive.
