Disney CEO Praises Star Wars: The Last Jedi After Early Viewing

Running a multinational conglomerate and entertainment titan cannot be an easy job, but luckily it is not without its benefits. Sometimes you get to see the brand new Star Wars movie about a year before everyone else.

While speaking to investors during the earnings call for Disney's first quarter of 2017, CEO Bob Iger had nothing but praise for the eighth installment of the franchise, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Rian Johnson's film is still 10 months away from release but with the title being announced, the crawl being finished, and John Williams hard at work on the score, it seems that post-production work is well underway.

While the film is likely far from being finalized, Iger saw a cut and was happy enough with what he saw to report back to investors with a testament to its quality.

Iger has overseen the corporations acquisitions of major companies like Marvel and Pixar over the years, with Lucasfilm being the latest and greatest addition to their portfolio.

It's likely Star Wars films will continue being released in some fashion so long as they continue to make money, and the films under the Disney umbrella have done just that.

Are you as excited as Iger? Let us know with your Anticipation Ranking for Episode VIII?
