EXCLUSIVE: Build-A-Bear Workshop To Release Star Wars Bear And R2-D2 Plush

In celebration of the annual Star Wars tradition May the 4th, Build-A-Bear Workshop is introducing a new R2-D2 plush set. That's not all though, as Star Wars fans can also get their hands on a new Dark Side vs Light Side Bear.

The R2-D2 set, which includes a 13" pre-stuffed plush as well as a 6 in 1 R2-D2 sound chip, are available right now at buildabear.com and buildabear.co.uk. Both will be in short supply, and it makes sense, especially considering that the sound chip features six of the character's trademark sounds. The exclusive set will retail for $42.00, and you can view the official description below.

Build-A-Bear Workshop isn't stopping there either, as they recently, introduced a Dark Side vs Light Side Bear. The adorable plush bear has ears that can flip from red to blue, as well as paws that flip to either show the Rebel Alliance logo or the First Order logo. The Bear's fur is covered in Star Wars logos, and of course, you can add a lightsaber if you want the full Star Wars experience. The Dark Side vs Light Side Bear will retail for $25.50, and you can view the official description for it below as well.

There will also be Stormtrooper outfits for your existing bears, but you can also grab one for your Dark Side Light Side Bear if you so choose. Both new additions can be viewed in the gallery as well.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017, release. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa.
