Exclusive Preview: Star Wars #19 The Conclusion To Rebel Jail

Marvel Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of Star Wars #19, from writer Jason Aaron and artist Leinil Francis Yu.

Set between the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Star Wars Episode VI: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars #19 is the conclusion of the four-issue "Rebel Jail" story arc. The story involves Leia Organa escorting Doctor Aphra, an ally of Darth Vader, to Sunspot Prison, the Rebellion's near impenetrable holding facility for Imperial captives located in close vicinity to a sun.

Unfortunately for Leia and her allies, Sunspot Prison wasn't near impenetrable enough. A team of mercenaries have infiltrated the penitentiary while Luke Skywalker and Han Solo are off on a nerf herding mission. Now Leia has been forced to form an uneasy alliance with Aphra and Han's former partner, Sana Starros, to fend off the invasion.

But that's not all. The jail is full of imperial agents and allies who would love an opportunity to strike back at their captors. However, there may be more to the mercenary leader than he seems. Could he turn against his imperial employers?
