Fan Trailer Friday: Star Wars: Fall Of The Resistance Episode 8

With Rogue One: A Star Wars Story finally hitting theaters, the focus switches in earnest to the next true sequel in the core franchise, Star Wars: Episode VIII. It seemed fitting then to focus on the anticipated film for today's Fan Trailer Friday.

YouTube user Teaser PRO has created a new fan trailer just for fun called Star Wars: Fall of the Resistance/Episode 8, which pairs footage from a few choice Star Wars franchises to create a unique vision of what Episode VIII could be. The trailer features clips primarily from Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Old Republic, and gives fans a world where Rey seems to succumb a bit to the dark side, while Kylo Ren perhaps gives in to his light side roots. It also features the return of Vader himself by trailer's end and is pretty entertaining throughout.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is in theaters today. Star Wars: Episode VIII lands in theaters on December 15, 2017.
