Some things in this life just go together. A hot day is never complete with some ice cream. Where there is a sun, a moon will eventually appear. And, when Lucasfilm sets out to make a new Star Wars films, then new aliens will make their debut too. Over the years, the Star Wars franchise has helped fans meet all sorts of extraterrestrials, and it doesn't look like it has any plans to stop the introductions. In a brand-new featurette for the yet-titled Han Solo film, fans were able to get a glimpse of the standalone's newest alien race.

Over on Youtube, the charity "Force For Change" is already in full-swing, and the folks behind the Han Solo movie are doing what they can to help. A video was just published from the feature's set which sees Warwick Davis get a rather boring tour of the studio's parking lots before directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller drop in.

When the pair make their appearance, they are quickly overshadowed by a strange alien creature chilling in a staircase close to them. Lord wants to show fans his new friend, and the warmly dressed alien looks rather surprised by the camera's attention, and Miller panics for a second. The video then wobbles as Miller quickly hides the alien from sight, but fans weren't spared a look at the creature's various blinking eyeballs. So, surprise?

So far, there is no way of telling whether the alien will play a sizable role or not. For all fans know, the character may just be a background alien needed for another cantina scene. The unnamed alien does bear a similar resemblance to Gran from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, so maybe there is an underlying connection there?

Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is filming now under directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller for a May 25, 2018 release. Alden Ehrenreich stars as a young Han Solo and Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca in the era before Star Wars: A New Hope, before they met Leia and Luke and embarked on a galaxy-saving adventure. Donald Glover also stars as Lando Calrissian, with Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Emilia Clarke in as-yet-unrevealed co-starring roles.
