Hayden Christensen's Partner Nervous About Their Daughter Discovering He Played Darth Vader

In Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith, Hayden Christensen portrayed Anakin Skywalker and his deadly descent to the Dark Side, culminating in the transformation into Darth Vader. Christensen shares 2 1/2-year-old daughter Briar Rose with actress Rachel Bilson, from who they hope they can keep shrouded in secrecy for as long as possible about dad's darkness.

"We'll probably avoid that for as long as possible," Bilson revealed to PEOPLE. "Especially because her dad is who he is."

She joked, "She might be like, 'Oh no! Darth Vader's my dad!'" and added, "No one's gonna mess with her on the playground."

Since Christensen's last movie as Darth Vader debuted in 2005, the actor hasn't been too involved in the franchise and with fan events for a variety of reasons, with one of those being that he became the target of fan backlash against the trilogy.

Earlier this year, however, Christensen attended Star Wars Celebration to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the original film's release, taking part in panels, autograph sessions, and even photo ops.

One of the most parodied lines of Christensen's came from Attack of the Clones, in which he said, "I don't like sand. It's coarse, and rough, and irritating - and it gets everywhere."

The cheesy dialogue was written by George Lucas, who has pointed out his inspiration for the films were classic serials he watched as a kid, cheesy dialogue and all, but that didn't stop him from forcing Christensen to utter the laughable line.

While a guest on The Star Wars Show at the convention, the actor came clean about how he truly feels about sand.

The actor confessed, "It's not very smooth, it doesn't really stay in one place, so I'm not such a big fan of it myself. Although, if it leads to the water, I can tolerate. But Anakin came from a desert planet so I understood his contempt for it."

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is the next film from the franchise, and it's set to hit theaters on December 15, 2017.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017 release. The film follows-up and continues the story of the next generation of the saga as Rey, Poe, Finn, and Kylo Ren find their place in the galaxy and follow the legacy of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern join the cast in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
