The latest film in the Skywalker Saga, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, will be hitting theaters in nine months. We've yet to see any photos or videos in support of the film, with news coming out each day about what we might expect. A recent bit of information that seems to have leaked out about the film is that Justin Theroux, star of HBO's The Leftovers, has a small yet important role in the film.

There aren't any major details out yet, but Making Star Wars reports that Theroux has a role in the film and plays an "expert slicer." It's unclear exactly what that means in terms of a character, but odds are that he won't be playing someone who works at a deli.

The scene he starred in is set in a casino-like environment, so it features the actor looking incredibly dapper in a pristine white tuxedo. Well, not actually a tuxedo, but in an outfit that the Star Wars world would create to be worn to an otherworldly casino.

When you hear the word "slice" in regards to the Star Wars world, your mind automatically jumps to images of a swinging lightsaber, but with a title like "Last Jedi," we doubt anyone wielding a saber would have such a minimal role. However, there are reports that the set used to film the casino-like scenes also featured an explosion, so it's possible he appears, only to shortly meet his demise.

New of Theroux's potential role isn't the only cameo-like appearance to slip lately, as musician Gary Barlow recently revealed in an interview that he has a small role in the film.

"I'm not a Stormtrooper, but I'm in it," Barlow revealed on a talk show appearance.

"Now that I've said it, I'll probably be [cut] out," Barlow added. "I think the Star Wars people are so strict about what information [is out there]. So me saying that, I've probably just done myself out of a role."

Tom Hardy and Princes Harry and William are also rumored to play characters in the massive film. Considering Daniel Craig appeared in The Force Awakens as a Stormtrooper who never shows his face, it sounds like celebrities will do whatever it takes to appear in the franchise.
