Kylo Ren Watches The New Rogue One Trailer

On Thursday night, Star Wars fans came together to impatiently watch Olympic swimming while waiting for the full Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer to air on NBC. They weren't the only ones, as a certain leader of the Knights of Ren was also anxious to catch a glimpse at what the first stand-alone Star Wars spinoff has to offer.

In a new video from YouTube channel Auralnauts, Kylo Ren records a reaction video for the new trailer. As fans may expect, the young disciple of the dark side of the Force brings a unique perspective to the trailer. He mocks and trivializes the Rebellion, particularly Donnie Yen's "magic stick man" and the idea of using ground-to-air missiles against an AT-AT, and grows excited at the arrival of Imperial Forces.

Kylo has a particularly strong reaction to the appearance of his grandfather, Darth Vader. He wonders who they got to play Anakin Skywalker, and becomes infuriated at the idea that it may be Hayden Christiansen.

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is directed by Gareth Edwards and stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, with Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker. Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur and Simon Emanuel are producing, with John Knoll and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers.
