Many Star Wars fans have pretending to be Darth Vader, the menacing Dark Lord of the Sith, from time to time. Actor Spencer Wilding actually got to do it for a movie.

Wilding was one of the two actors who portrayed Darth Vader in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the first Star Wars standalone movie that is currently dominating the box office and has become one to 2016's biggest hits.

So what did it feel like to play such an iconic character as Darth Vader, even if it was James Earl Jones doing the voice?

"This character has got so much presence - it's unbelievable," Wilding tells ITV. "I'm just one small element of Star Wars. It's a massive production, and it takes a lot to bring the magic of that film. It's just awesome."

While the gig may have been "awesome," it did require a bit of homework on the part Wilding and the other Darth Vader actor in Rogue One, Daniel Naprous.

"We studied the movements of Darth Vader. We had a trainer who got it bang on. We wanted to keep it 'Darth Vader!' It's every actor's dream. I'm still pinching myself!"
