For as long as there have been fans of any property, people's imaginations have run wild about what sorts of things their favorite characters get into when their adventures aren't being told. Thanks to the advancements in social media, fans that like to explore the romantic entanglements of their favorite characters have been able to connect with one another to show their artistic interpretations of these characters' trysts.

The budding friendship and admiration between Poe and Finn, played by Oscar Isaac and John Boyega, in The Force Awakens has led to all sorts of fan art depicting the characters in sexual situations, which Boyega recently encouraged and supported while speaking with Variety.

"I've seen pictures of me and my boy, Oscar Isacc, butt naked, in showers and stuff," Boyega joked. "We don't personally do that, but I'm open and free to anyone having their expression of art. This is all art at the end of the day, isn't it? It's nice."

Although many of Finn's interactions with Rey (Daisy Ridley) have hinted at the idea he has some sort of romantic interest in her, the same can be said of his interactions with Poe, with the two male characters only limited by having fewer scenes together.

Both Boyega and Isaac have had no problems letting fans' imaginations run wild at the idea of the two characters having a romantic relationship together, often posting things on social media that only fuel those fires. J.J. Abrams and other members of the Lucasfilm team have explained they want to embrace diversity at every opportunity, which includes homosexual partnerships, despite not having confirmed the extent of the two characters' relationship.

We'll see even more of Poe and Finn when The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15.
