Star Wars: Life-Size R2-D2 Replica Revealed

One of the few characters to be featured in all seven movies in the Star Wars saga is getting a life-size replica figure courtesy of Sideshow Collectibles.
Sideshow Collectibles has revealed the Limited Edition R2-D2 Life-Size Figure, allowing Star Wars fans to bring home the most true-to-life version of the plucky asatromech droid to date, and they won't even have to haggle with Jawas to do it.
The Limited Edition R2-D2 Life-Size Figure features a new sculpt that emphasizes realism, complete with screen accurate lights and sounds. The lights and sounds can be triggered with the included remote control, which is stored in a hidden compartment next to the speaker. R2-D2's dome can be rotated to the right and left, along with the holographic projectors.
R2-D2 stands on a Millennium Falcon-themed base, designed to add presence to the display, all priced at $7,450.

Kenny Baker, the actor inside R2-D2 from Star Wars Episodes I-VI, died in August. The character will continue in the Star Wars saga, appearing in Star Wars: Episode VIII in 2017.
