Star Wars Writer Suing Former Tinder Date Over Nasty Break-Up

Look, break-ups can be hard, we all know that. But for Derek Connolly - the screenwriter tapped for Star Wars: Episode IX - this latest separation has been one for the history books.

According to TMZ, the writer is currently suing his ex-girlfriend for her actions during the break-up. Connolly claims that his ex, Ada Hui, has been trying to ruin his career in the weirdest of ways.

First, Connolly said that Hui - whom he met on Tinder - was posting their text message conversations to Instagram, and threatening to post ever more revealing conversations. Things got even uglier when she threatened the guy with a scene from HBO's Entourage.

Hui told Connolly to drop all of her things off by a certain time, or else it would be like the episode of Entourage titled, 'Tequila and Coke'. She was referring to the story in which Ari Gold, a Hollywood mainstay, was blackmailed. She followed that up with more threats and more supposed black mail.

Connolly has officially sued Hui for stalking invasion of privacy. He has also reportedly asked the presiding judge to order his ex to stop.

While Connolly has Star Wars on the horizon, he's written a few notable screenplays over the last couple of years. His credits include hits like Jurassic World and Kong: Skull Island.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi, from writer/director Rian Johnson, is in post-production now for a December 15, 2017 release. The film follows-up and continues the story of the next generation of the saga as Rey, Poe, Finn, and Kylo Ren find their place in the galaxy and follow the legacy of Luke Skywalker, Leia, and Han Solo. Daisy Ridley returns to star as Rey, with other returning stars John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa. Benicio Del Toro and Laura Dern join the cast in as-yet-unrevealed roles.
