Lucasfilm Releases Batch of New Hi-Res 'The Last Jedi' Photos

Fans have gotten to see images and footage from The Last Jedi, but seeing as some of those images were exclusive to print magazines, fans have had to settle for low-quality scans. Luckily, Lucasfilm has released many of those exclusive images in high resolution, including new looks at Luke Skywalker, General Hux and Captain Phasma. Check the photos out in the gallery below!

Interestingly, the photo of Hux, played by Domnhall Gleeson, is one of the best glimpses we've gotten of the character in the upcoming film. The actor recently claimed the reason we haven't seen much of him thus far has to do with his importance in the story.

"I don't think there was much out about [me] for the first one either," Gleeson told Screen Rant. "I'm not one of the bigger characters – Adam [Driver], Oscar [Isaac], Daisy [Ridley] and John [Boyega] are up front and then it's a big line of people ahead of me on the call sheet, so I certainly don't take it personally. I think they know how to market Star Wars, so I'll leave them to it."

The first teaser for The Last Jedi debuted at Star Wars Celebration back in April, with no official announcement since regarding when a new trailer could debut. Mark Hamill, however, might have accidentally revealed that fans will want to tune in to Monday Night Football on October 9 for "no reason in particular."

Hamill has since deleted the tweet, going on to explain his comments were merely a joke about the teams playing that night. The actor does have a history of saying what he's feeling and not considering the ramifications or interpretations, so it's tough to determine the truth of the matter.

"I got into trouble because… I was quoted as saying to Rian that I fundamentally disagree with everything you decided about Luke, and it was inartfully [sic] phrased," Hamill explained to Variety of making glib comments. "What I was, was surprised at how he saw Luke. And it took me a while to get around to his way of thinking, but once I was there it was a thrilling experience. I hope it will be for the audience too."

The Last Jedi will land in theaters on December 15.
