Fear The Walking Dead's Mercedes Mason Thinks Negan Killed Abraham
05/07/2016 11:00 am EDT
Fear the Walking Dead star Mercedes Mason is an unabashed fan of The Walking Dead. She hosts viewing parties at her house. She's read the comics. She's watched every episode from the beginning.
So, when the topic of, "Who did Negan kill?" comes up, Mason lights up with theories of her own. "I'm dying over that!" Mason burst out when the topic came up. "I can't wait for October! My God, do I love that show!"
While speaking to Mason on Friday, she shared her fleshed out theory of who it is Negan killed and why. Sure, we've heard something for every single possible victim including Rick but Mason's theory might have some foundation.
"They're all lined up," Mason starts. "I think they sort of toyed with the idea of it being Glenn because in the comics he's supposed to be killed. They had done the fakeout with him before but Negan said'"If anybody makes any noise, I'm gonna make it worse for you,' and there's no way in hell that Glenn's getting killed, getting his brain smashed in, and Maggie doesn't scream out. There's just no way. It's not gonna happen."
As for who it was who may have taken Glenn's place - Mason thinks she's got that figured out, too. "Maybe it's Abraham," she admits. "Especially in that [season six finale] episode. They really sort of focused on him being the good guy and how helpful he is and they have a tendency to build a character up before they destroy them or kill them. Part of me thinks it had to be Abraham which I feel bad about. As long as it's not Glenn or Daryl! I'm terrible! I'm a terrible person!"
Do you agree with Mercedes Mason's theory? Either way, catch her in Fear the Walking Dead Sunday nights at 9 PM ET on AMC.
