Nic & Norman's Will Host The Walking Dead Events And Premiere

Over the weekend, I packed the car and set out for Senoia, Georgia to check out Greg Nicotero and Norman Reedus' new restaurant which is only a block away from the Alexandria Safe-Zone. The next time we head to Alexandria on television in the form of AMC's The Walking Dead season 7 premiere, their Nic & Norman's restaurant will be hosting a premiere event!

The details haven't been locked down yet but, over lunch, Nicotero tells me he plans to screen the episodes on a large projector in the restaurant, as well as on the TV screens mounted over the bar. Unsure of plans for another New York City season premiere, Nicotero fully plans to invite some fans into the restaurant to watch the brutal season 7 premiere.

"We'll do events for sure," Nicotero says. "We'll do the premiere here, we'll just have to hide anything sharp."

Nicotero and his five fellow Nic & Norman's owners (Reedus, Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Scott Tigchelaar and Brian Jagt) are still figuring out the logistics of hosting events in a venue which abides by the fire marshal's ruling of about 100 guests meaning the venue is at capacity.

Nicotero plans to attend the event should his schedule permit it and it's unlikely he would do so alone. There's no cast or crew members currently committed to the event considering it is still in development itself but they regularly stop in the restaurant as it is and will probably pop in for a viewing with Nicotero (who directed the season 7 premiere, by the way).

Given that The Walking Dead is a TV series, the owners can't sell tickets to any Walking Dead events in the restaurant without consent from AMC. Right now, they're looking into effective and fair ways of giving out the certain number of tickets they can.

The Walking Dead premieres its seventh season in October but the first trailer will be dropping this Friday at San Diego Comic Con. I'll be there getting all of the panel information and talking with the cast and crew afterwards, so follow me on Twitter @BrandonDavisBD for the quickest updates and check out The Walking Dead on Comicbook.com for all of your Walking Dead news all season long.
