The Walking Dead: Greg Nicotero Says Next Episode Is One Of The Best Of The Season

If you thought you were excited for The Walking Dead to return, you definitely aren't the only one. As they've expressed over the last couple of weeks, neither the cast nor crew can wait for the midseason premiere.

In a recent interview with EW, producer Greg Nicotero had some strong words for these upcoming episodes. In fact, he called next week's midseason premiere one of the best of the season.

"I'm very excited," said Nicotero. "I think episode nine is one of the best of the season, by far, in terms of storytelling, in terms of performances, in terms of audience expectations of seeing the band back together and putting our group back on their feet again. It's very exciting and quite a bit of fun, and the season builds and builds up to an absolutely thrilling finale."

Not only is the premiere great, but he says the finale of the season is 'absolutely thrilling'.

The Walking Dead returns for the rest of its seventh season on February 12 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC. Fear the Walking Dead's third season does not yet have a premiere date but with The Walking Dead finale set for April 2, expectations for Fear's return are set for April 9.
