The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 10: New Best Friends

02/19/2017 09:30 am EST

Sunday's belong to the Dead, again. AMC will broadcast a new episode of its hit series The Walking Dead tonight!

Sunday night's episode will be the tenth of Season 7, titled, "New Best Friends."

The official synopsis for New Best Friends reads, "While searching for a missing Alexandrian, Rick and his group encounter a mysterious collective." The episode is scheduled to run slightly past its typical 10 pm ET end point, with an additional 6 minutes being added to its broadcast slot.

Last Sunday, The Walking Dead returned with a strong midseason 7 premiere. The episode garnered the third best ratings of the season as each of the core characters were featured in its 73-minute debut. To conclude, Rock in the Road saw Rick Grimes and a few of his fellow Alexandrians surrounded by new, heavily armed faces. Rather than appear threatened, though, Rick smiled before the screen cut to black. According to executive producer Greg Nicotero, that's because Rick has found his army to take on the Saviors.

All things considered, the biggest mystery of the midseason premiere regards Father Gabriel. The character suddenly packed up and left Alexandria in the middle of the night. Just before his car passed through the gates, a mysterious figure popped up in the passenger set, revealing he was most likely kidnapped. Rick actor Andrew Lincoln tells Comicbook.com that finding Gabriel is his character's immediate priority. His fate will likely be revealed in New Best Friends as the AMC series looks to continue a well-paced back half of a highly criticized season.
