Massive Spoilers for The Walking Dead Season 7 premiere ahead!

The Walking Dead season 7 has premiered, and it was devastating. The shocking premiere contained not one but two major character deaths as Negan and his Saviors were introduced in full for the first time.

Negan sized up the survivors in the line-up, and he chose very strategically. There was only one survivor sitting tall, staring him down and seemingly fearless: Abraham. It was clear that while Rick was the leader, Abraham was a force to be reckoned with. In that, Negan chose him as his first victim to make a point: the strongest amongst you are nothing to me and Lucille. Abraham "took it like a champ," though, even uttering one last defiant line in the face of the beatdown he was in the midst of receiving.

Unfortunately, he wasn't done. After Daryl lashed out, Negan felt a bigger example needed to be made, and swung again, this time at Glenn. He taunted him, viciously, as Glenn sputtered out one last phrase to Maggie, and had an eyeball literally bulging out of his head (a shot directly from the pages of The Walking Dead comic book by Robert Kirkman and Charlie Adlard). He finished that beating as well, leaving nothing but a bloody mess.
