AMC and The Walking Dead have released a new look at the show's upcoming eighth season.

On Sunday night, the cast and crew of the AMC series took center stage at Madison Square Garden to release the new clip from the Season 8 premiere, similar to last year's clip which revealed Rick as the first confirmed survivor of Negan's introduction. This time around, things are headed in a much different direction and Rick Grimes isn't exactly begging for Mercy.

The Walking Dead Episode 8x01 will be titled, "Mercy." The official synopsis for Mercy reads, "Rick and his group, along with the Kingdom and Hilltop, have banded together to bring the fight to Negan and the Saviors."

The Walking Dead's sibling series Fear the Walking Dead airs Sunday nights at 9 pm ET on AMC. The Walking Dead will return for its eighth season on October 22, 2017. The Season Eight premiere will mark 100 episodes overall for the popular AMC series. For complete coverage and insider info all season long, follow @BrandonDavisBD on Twitter.
