The Walking Dead: Shane Walsh Added Into Every Major Scene

The one character who would undoubtedly have the largest impact on The Walking Dead if they were still alive is Shane Walsh.

The character, played by Jon Bernthal on the AMC series, was killed off before Season 2 came to a close. His ideas and survival tactics were much more brash than those of Rick Grimes back in the day. Rick has grown to accomodate such harsh tactics, realizing that the world will literally eat him alive otherwise, but if Shane were still around -- we can't help but wonder how different everything would be.

One fan of The Walking Dead has photoshopped Shane Walsh into every major scene from the AMC zombie show which he wasn't able to make it to because Rick stabbed him. While we can only imagine what the encounter between Negan and Shane would have been like, at least we now have a visual representation.

What part of The Walking Dead do you think would be the most different if Shane Walsh were still alive? Could him and Rick have ever worked things out and become leaders together in the apocalypse?

When The Walking Dead returns, the character might be wishing they had someone like Shane to help them. The official synopsis suggests that Rick Grimes will be rallying some help in an effort to take down Negan and the Saviors.

The official synopsis for the rest of The Walking Dead Season 7 reads:

Rick's group will find out yet again that the world isn't what they thought it was. It's much bigger than anything they've seen so far. While they have a singular purpose - to defeat Negan - it won't come easy. More importantly, victory will require more than Alexandria. They need the numbers of the Kingdom and the Hilltop, but, similar to how Rick felt, Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Gregory (Xander Berkeley) do not want bloodshed. To convince them otherwise will take more than speeches. The lengths Rick and the group will have to go to in order to find weapons, food and new fighters is nothing short of remarkable.

We'll meet new survivors in incredible places. We'll see Rick and the group tested in ways we've never seen before. We'll see treachery from people we trust. Rick is confident as he will see his group and many others band together with the common goal of taking down Negan. But no amount of planning will prepare the group for all-out war with Negan and his army.

The political factors are going to be more prominent than ever on The Walking Dead when it returns. Although Rick is onboard with dethroning Negan, the other communities will need some convincing.
