The Walking Dead: Where Did Jesus Go?

WARNING: Spoilers Ahead For The Walking Dead's Latest Episode, 'Sing Me A Song'.

Fans of The Walking Dead have known that Jesus is notorious for his skills as a hand-to-hand combatant, but this week's episode proved that the character has mastered yet another useful skill - the disappearing act.

Seriously, where did Jesus go?

When Carl and Negan's truck is seen leaving Sanctuary, Jesus is seen sprawled out on top of it. It's clear that he's trying to make sure Carl is taken care of, and none of the Saviors detected him while on the roof.

The truck stops, Negan talks to Dwight and Daryl, and the truck begins moving once again. This time, when the camera zooms out, Jesus is no where to be found.

When you think about it, there's really only two places the guy could have gone.

First, and the more obvious answer, is that Jesus got into the back of the truck. While Negan was talking to Daryl, Jesus managed to sneak his way down from the roof, open the back door, and get inside. It would have taken a good amount of stealth, and a ton of upper body strength, but Jesus could definitely pull it off.

This move makes sense, and it would mean Jesus is trying to protect Carl. By going with Negan, he can constantly keep an eye out. The only downside to this theory is that Jesus wasn't seen in Alexandria later on. He would want to stay hidden, but he probably would've made himself known to at least someone in the community.

This leads to the second, and more likely, scenario - Jesus infiltrated Sanctuary.

Some of the Saviors probably recognize Jesus, but he's a master of disguise and mystery. With Negan gone, it's reasonable to think that he could have acted like a normal civilian once inside the compound. This will give Jesus the extensive knowledge Rick will need to defeat Negan, thus keeping his promise to Sasha.

If Jesus is inside Sanctuary, this adds to another interesting theory - Jesus gave Daryl the note. While many speculate Sherry is the one helping Daryl escape, there's a good chance he has an ally inside the walls of Sanctuary.
