Jason David Frank Poses With Classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Villain Props

05/21/2017 11:44 pm EDT

Taking a walk down memory lane, Jason David Frank shared new images of props created for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers' villains.

In the original '90s children's television program, Frank portrayed Tommy Oliver, though you know him best as the Green Ranger. What set him apart from the other "teenagers with attitude" is that he was the first evil Power Ranger ever created. He was brainwashed by Rita Repulsa into ambushing and dismantling the Power Rangers. He wreaked havoc on the team until Red Ranger/Jason freed him from Rita's control. After that, Tommy became the new leader of Power Rangers, eventually morphing into the White Ranger.

In the images below, you can see Frank posing with Rita Repulsa's staff, which the power-hungry sorceress would use to enlarge other beings, and Lord Zedd's Z-staff, which could create energy.

Frank also took a close-up photo of Goldar's original mask, providing us with a great look at the blue-skinned, ape-like monster with red eyes. And while there is some deterioration, here and there, the mask has held up quite well given that it hasn't seen the light of day for sometime. Plus, I prefer this Goldar design over the giant, faceless, molten gold appearance the latest film went with.
