Eric Young Opens Up About Finally Joining NXT

Wrestling fans blew up Twitter last night at the arrival of former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Eric Young at NXT earlier this week. Young, real name Jeremy Fritz, had one of the longest tenures in TNA Wrestling at twelve years. There he became the fourth TNA Grand Slam Champion, capturing literally every title available (even half the Knockouts Tag Championship with ODB, a title mainly reserved for women competitors).
He spoke to Cathy Kelley about joining the ranks of NXT and what he still has to prove to the wrestling world.
"Everyone strives to be the best. You want to pit yourself against the best. Prove yourself against the best."
Young joins recent TNA wrestlers Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles, and possibly Bobby Roode, who have jumped ship to join the NXT brand. He was only a free agent for a month and no debut match has been set thus far, but rumblings of Young joining the fan-favorite brand of the WWE umbrella were almost immediate after his departure from TNA was announced.
