Bret Hart's career in the ring was unfortunately cut short, but if he hadn't been proactive about his help, his life could have as well.

In a new interview with Sports Net, the legendary wrestler announced that he's 100% recovered from prostate cancer, and is ready to hit the gym. In the interview he makes a point of describing just how easy the process is, and that I can be the thing that saves your life.

"You know, it's so critical for me to stress ... that it's just a blood test," Hart said as he urged men to get screened for prostate cancer. You gotta go in and get a blood test. If you're a man over 40, you need to go in. You don't want to be like my brother, Smith, who's a guy that didn't worry about it and it's too late now."

Prostate cancer can be treated, but it's important to catch it as early as possible. "If you've got prostate cancer, if you don't catch it early, you could die from it. And if you catch it early, you can live a pretty normal life."

Hart went through a period of serious heath issues, including a stroke in 2002. Now though he's headed back to the gym, and when asked how he was feeling he said: "I would say I'm pretty close to normal."
