WWE: Jim Ross Thinks Seth Rollins Vs Triple H Match Can Still Happen At WrestleMania

02/03/2017 09:24 pm EST

Fans were saddened to hear the news that Seth Rollins would be out of action for a bit, but hopes are high that his storyline with Triple H doesn't lose steam because of it.

His injury will keep him out of action for around 6 to 8 weeks, which would be right at WrestleMania time. On the latest Ross Report blog post, JR shared his thoughts on the injury, and what it would mean for the Rollins Triple H matchup at WrestleMania.

"Sad to hear that Seth Rollins re-injured his knee Monday night on Raw while being assaulted by Samoa Joe. A torn MCL generally takes about 6-8 weeks to heal and be cleared which might allow Rollins to go ahead with his match at Wrestlemania with HHH. This entire matter will depend on what Dr. James Andrews staff has to say regarding clearing Rollins to return to the ring. Rollins showed magnificent resolve rehabbing his last knee injury and I have no doubt that he will do the same again with this less severe injury."

Rollins was out of commission for far longer with his injury in 2014, but his hard work resulted in him coming back sooner than expected. JR doesn't think it's out of the question this time either and believes that if WWE doesn't fall into the "big spot" trap, the two superstars can still have a stellar match.

"Plus I believe that HHH vs Rollins can be a tremendous match without it having to be laden with risky moves for move's sake. Unless Rollins experiences complications while rehabbing this latest injury, I am optimistic that the Rollins-HHH bout at Wrestlemania will proceed."

Rollins was injured in Samoa Joe's Monday Night RAW debut, as the new enforcer for the Authority attempted to put Rollins in his place. By the way WWE, Rollins, and Joe are operating on social media, it seems they also believe they can pick up right where they left off once Rollins is back to 100%.
