Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season Two Premiere Date Set

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will return to ABC on Tuesday, September 23 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, the network announced today.

That's just two weeks after the first season of the Marvel Studios series comes to Blu-ray and DVD on September 9, the same day Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier arrives.

Little is known of the second season yet, except that Agent Phil Coulson will be heading up a rogue faction of the officially-disbanded S.H.I.E.L.D. Most of the world still believes both Coulson and his predecessor in the job, Nick Fury, to be dead, while Team Coulson operates out of Fury's old secret bases. Betrayed by one of their own and with a second clinging to life, the team has taken on some heavy losses -- and it seems Coulson himself might not be in his right mind.
