Sure, you've painted a mug or cut some felt out for a personal house banner (be it Potter or Thrones), but one 23 year-old Chicagoan has your personal art project beat. His art involves arc-welding, making incredible metal art projects based on a few of his favorite things.

Star Wars, the Minions, Cheshire Cat (an incredibly trippy one), Iron Man, and the Chicago Blackhawks are among the pop-culture features Richard Lauth has welded, as well as statues and models of every-day objects like bicycles and dragonflies.

Lauth has an Etsy store where he sells some of his art and sculptures, and an instagram with much more of his art. Check out some of our favorites in the gallery below.
