After a deluge of fan videos and photos found their way onto the Internet, alongside official character reveals, the first official behind-the-scenes look at Suicide Squad has been released.
Entertainment City went onto the Toronto set of Suicide Squad and spoke to director David Ayer about his big DC Comics project.
"I'm all about real drama, real performance, and real people," says Ayer. "So my twist on this is I'm creating a family. I'm creating a brotherhood here. I'm creating a very real chemistry, and I have this incredible ensemble of actors, led by Will Smith, who are basically playing dimensional characters with lives and souls."
The video was shot while the cast and crew were filming a scene in which the Squad touches down at a mission site. The burning car suggests that their assistance is probably needed.
Suicide Squad opens August 5, 2016.
