Dragon Ball Super: Who Are The Other Gods Of Destruction?

Last year, Dragon Ball Super made its long-awaited debut thanks to Toei Animation. The series brought Akira Toriyama's acclaimed franchise back to the world of anime, and it has continued to thrill fans. When the show premiered, Dragon Ball Super introduced fans to an action-packed saga that featured Beerus, the fearsome God of Destruction from Universe 7. Next year, the newest Dragon Ball Super saga is slated to debut and bring in a slew of other gods, and fans are understandably curious about their identities.

So far, fans know very little about the Gods of Destruction from any universe outside of 7 and 8. They already know that Beerus and Champa respectively oversee those universes with the help of their angel attendants Whis and Vados. However, there are 10 other universes who must be accounted for, and fans will soon meet them in the "Universal Survival" saga.

In February, the newest arc for Dragon Ball Super is set to kick off thanks to Zen-Oh. The King of All and his alternate counterpart have declared an inter-universal martial arts tournament will soon be initiated. As such, all of the Supreme Kai and Gods of Destruction will convene to oversee the event since Zen-Oh has said those teams who lose will have their universes destroyed - and the Gods will be needed to do just that.

The only hints fans have received about the Gods involvement with Dragon Ball Super have come from Toei Animation's trailer for the "Universal Survival" arc. The trailer showed Beerus in the company of Shin, Universe 7's Supreme Kai. Footage is also shown of Zen-Oh being bowed down to by a slew of shrouded Gods. Some of them appear to look similar to Beerus by borrowing his animal shape, but the others are covered up to prevent undue spoilers.

Right now, fans are most curious about the Gods and their appearance. Beerus and Champa both borrow from Egyptian mythology with their cat-like visage. The two animalistic gods are also mirrored versions of one another, so fans are speculating the rest of the universes' gods are also twins of some sort.

As for the Supreme Kai, fans will most certainly learn more about those who fill the position. Audiences have been introduced to the Kai of Universes 6, 7, and 10, so fans will learn about the other universes's overseers given their close relationship with the Gods of Destruction.
