People like to believe everything they read on the internet and that is why a popular rumor that is circulating the internet is that The Maze Runner star Dylan O'Brien has already been cast as the new Spider-Man. There's one little problem with that: Dylan O'Brien hasn't auditioned for it nor has he even been contacted about the role.
Earlier today, Dylan O'Brien was asked about the rumors, which began from a Reddit posting, while he was on the set of MTV's Teen Wolf. "Professionally, I haven't heard anything about it," O'Brien told BuzzFeed. "I've only heard from, like, [rumors] online."
"It feels so weird to say," O'Brien added with a chuckle. "It's so funny. My friends from New Jersey are calling me. They're like, what are you not telling me, dude?! Spider-Man?!"
Many people were excited by the rumor as most people know that O'Brien is a huge Spider-Man fan. "You can tell them that it's not true," O'Brien stated.
Next Spider-Man film will arrive July 28, 2017.
