Exclusive Archie Comics Preview: Big Moose #1

Archie Comics has provided ComicBook.com with an exclusive preview of next month's Big Moose one-shot, centering on the character of Moose Mason.

The comic is set in the new Archie universe launched with Mark Waid's 2015 Archie reboot, and features work by an array of new and upcoming talent, including Sean Ryan, Cory Smith, Ryan Cady, Thomas Pitilli, and more.
Moose has traditionally been depicted as a star athlete without much in the way of brains, but a big heart. He is fiercely devoted to his "little buddy" Dilton Doily as well as his steady girlfriend Midge Klump. In the 1990 TV movie To Riverdale and Back Again, an older Moose appeared married to Midge, and that same development later carried on to the comics.
On Riverdale, The CW's freshman drama set in the world of Archie Comics, Moose has only appeared briefly. In the show, he's a closeted bisexual or homosexual who is in a sexual-but-not-romantic relationship with Kevin Keller.
In "New Riverdale," Moose hasn't made many appearances, and has been depicted generally in the same way he always has.
The issue will be on sale on April 26.
