EXCLUSIVE Valiant's X-O Manowar: Commander Trill #0 To Reveal A Dark Origin

ComicBook.com can exclusively reveal Valiant Entertainment's X-O Manowar: Commander Trill #0– a special one-shot jumping-on point issue for Valiant's flagship series, from writer Robert Venditti (Wrath of the Eternal Warrior) and artist Francis Portela (Green Lantern).

Releasing this December, Commander Trill #0 will return to the roots of the Vine's brutal alien empire to explore the origin of X-O Manowar's vicious archenemies, and one of the biggest big bads in the Valiant Universe, Commander Trill.

Commander Trill has suffered ever since Aric of Dacia escaped the Vine with the X-O Manowar armor. Now readers will learn why, with a story that delves into the life of the Vine's mightiest military leader, and serves as a prelude to the next epic arc of the X-O Manowar saga.

"Since the very first issue, Commander Trill has been a central piece of the X-O MANOWAR mythology and now, for the very first time, we're going to see just how deep his influence truly runs," said series editor Tom Brennan. "From Master Darque to Toyo Harada to the Immortal Enemy, Valiant's antagonists are just as compelling as its heroes. The issue will feature covers by Phil Jimenez (Infinite Crisis), Cary Nord (X-O Manowar), and David Lafuente (Ultimate Spider-Man), which can be seen in the gallery below.
