Jay and Silent Bob are back and are going to save the world!

Okay, not really. Actually, they are just trying to recover their weed customers from the evil presence known as the galleria. Turns out the mega mall keeps attracting people, and those people never seem to leave. To figure out what is going on (and get their clients back), they have to head in and get them out themselves.

The new game, titled Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Blunt Punch, is a 2D co-op brawler that hopes to encapsulate what the Askew universe is all about, complete with all the profanity and raunchy comedy that that universe entails. The art style is extremely cartoony, but personally, it fits the characters extremely well. The team at Interbang Entertainment along with the Smodco team is using games like Marvel vs Capcom and Godhand for inspiration. They've even given the protagonists some familiar abilities, like Jay's claw slice that looks remarkably like Wolverine's berserker barrage. The also featured a unique one on one fighting mechanic that uses insults to lower the enemies self-worth.

The game is currently on crowdfunding platform Fig, and is currently at 6% of its goal of $400,000, though it just recently started. You can see some screenshots from the game below, and you can head here to find out more about the game and support it if interested.
