New Music Video Celebrates Magikarp As The Number 1 Pokemon Loser

When it comes to Pokemon, every trainer has a preferred roster of favorites that are suited to the trainer's personal play style.

While that choice is subjective and can (and will at the drop of a hat) be contentiously debated, most trainers can at least agree on one thing. Magikarp is the worst.

Seriously, he is pretty much useless, and no one even tries to mask it. Even Magikarp's official bio takes a shot at the Pokemon's limited ability set.

"Magikarp is a pathetic excuse for a Pokémon that is only capable of flopping and splashing. This behavior prompted scientists to undertake research into it."

That's harsh Nintendo, that's harsh.

While he struggles on the field of battle (and pretty much everywhere else save for a hot skillet), he does have something that other Pokemon will never have, and that's a catchy little ditty about just how much of a loser he is.

Seriously, I'm really starting to really feel bad for him now.

The song's title is a bit misleading, as it's called I Love Magikarp (via The Verge). The lyrics, however, paint a very different picture. For example, here is the chorus.

"Weak Pokemon, Magikarp. The weakest thing in the world. Weak Pokemon, Magikarp. So weak that it's actually shocking."

While it paints a sad picture, it is catchy, and don't forget that Magikarp might be useless in his original form, but once you evolve the little guy he becomes the powerful Gyarados, and no one seems to pick on him then.
