Patrick Warburton has been cast as narrator Lemony Snicket in Netflix's adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Warburton will also appear on screen as Snicket, the author of the novels on which the series is based. He'll join previously announced cast members Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, and Louis Hynes.
A Series of Unfortunate Events is an eight episode series telling the story of Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire, orphans who are placed in the care of their villainous uncle, Count Olaf (played by Harris). The children and the Count work at odds with each other as the children seek to discover the truth behind their parent's deaths, while Olaf searches for the Baudelaire fortune.
Warburton will be reuniting with Barry Sonnenfield on the project. Sonnenfield was an executive producer on the 2001 Fox superhero comedy The Tick, in which Warburton played the lead role. Warburton will be returning to that role for the revival pilot on Amazon, and will also star in NBC's upcoming comedy Crowded.
