The sidescrolling hit from 2009, Shadow Complex, is the latest game to get a special remastered edition, ChAIR Entertainment announced at The Game Awards Thursday night. While the original was exclusive to the Xbox 360, the new version will hit PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game features a story written by Peter David, current writer of Spider-Man 2099 for Marvel Comics.
They also announced that PC gamers get one better: they can download the entire game for free starting today at www.ShadowComplex.com.The deal only lasts until December 31, 2015, though, so get your download going quickly.
Shadow Complex Remastered features the full original game with higher-end graphics, new melee take-downs, and new achievements to make the game fresh even for seasoned veterans.
"Bringing Shadow Complex to a larger audience of gamers across multiple platforms has always been one of our goals at ChAIR," said Donald Mustard, co-founder and Creative Director at ChAIR in a press release. "We're super excited to introduce a remastered version to fans, old and new, and for the opportunity it creates for us to do more in the Shadow Complex universe."
While they'll only hint for now, that sure sounds like they are testing the waters to see if there's demand for new, additional Shadow Complex games.
