Kyle MacLachlan returns as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper in a new teaser for Twin Peaks, returning to Showtime with its first new episodes in more than twenty years this spring.

The teaser follows similar teasers created to welcome back the show itself, composer Angelo Badalamenti, and co-creator/director David Lynch.

Cooper, with his perfectly-groomed hair and black suit, is also wearing a pin on his lapel. It's not a logo that's immediately recognizable, although the wavy lines at the bottom are reminiscent of the design of the floor in the Red Room.

The featureless expression on his face likely will lead some viewers to believe that all these years later, Coop still has a little of BOB in him -- that's the serial killer who possessed him at the end of Twin Peaks's season two finale.

Twin Peaks, the 18-part limited event series will debut with a two-part premiere on Sunday, May 21 at 9PM ET/PT.

Immediately following the premiere, Showtime subscribers will have access to the third and fourth parts, exclusively across the Showtime streaming service, Showtime Anytime and Showtime on Demand. In its second week, Twin Peaks will air the third and fourth parts back-to-back on TV, starting at 9 p.m. ET/PT, followed by one-hour parts in subsequent weeks.

Directed entirely by David Lynch, the new Showtime limited event series picks up twenty-five years after the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town were stunned when their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered.

The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues...
